Snowing at New Cub Night!

Date: 10th May 2021 Author: Lindsay Hague-Morgan

Due to the popularity of our Cub section we have opened a second Cub Scout pack at the end of April 2021. On their first night they got up to; couple of games including giant noughts and crosses on the grass; lighting a fire with flint and steel;Smores (melted marshmallows between two biscuits) and a snow ball fight! (where they wrote down ideas on scrap paper to do over the term/s)

These were the ideas that won the snow ball fight: Eat, Food fight, Pizza, Kite Surfing, Build a Bridge, Africa, Disneyland, Fly Dragon, Sleepover, walking, Nerf gun fight, Football, Rugby, Tag.

And here is some of the feedback via the parents / carers of the first night:

  • Great and well organised. He had a really great time, he enjoyed using the flint to make a fire the best, apparently.
  • He really enjoyed himself and was glad to be back face-to-face (he’s not a fan of a zoom meeting).
  • From my side, the drop off/collection was really clear and went smoothly.
  • Overall, really great feedback- thank you to everyone for their brilliant organisation!
  • he was full of excitement about the activities he’d done and how much fun he had.
  • The drop off and pick up arrangements were excellent.  All felt very safe and really well organised.
  • Thank you for all your hard work in getting them back to face to face again.
