Date: 21st Jul 2023 Author: Suzanne Taylor-Turnbull

On a picturesque Tuesday evening in June, the water activity team organized an unforgettable experience for Market Bosworth Cub Scouts.

Canoeing provided an opportunity for the Cub Scouts to develop essential skills and foster teamwork. As they paddled through the serene river at Moria Furnace, some learned to synchronize their movements and communicate effectively and others fell in!

Behind the success of every adventure lies a dedicated team of organizers, and the water activity team at Moria Furnace proved to be true masters of fun. With their expertise in water activities and commitment to safety, they ensured that every Cub Scout had a remarkable and secure experience throughout the entire trip. In the pursuit of an immersive water adventure, the water activity team introduced a novel concept to guarantee head-to-toe drenching. An upside-down canoe slide became the centerpiece of the excitement. With a mischievous grin, each Cub Scout embarked on the slide, eagerly anticipating the watery plunge that awaited them at the bottom. It was a whimsical and invigorating way to ensure that everyone left the experience completely soaked and with unforgettable memories.
